One week to go! And...even though I got my teeth I still can't eat nuts!!! I can however eat apples...thank goodness, I was starting to get a little crazy there! Only a little...all those of you who are up in the peanut gallery can stop laughing now.

I'm starting each day with a plan but...still manage to go off, today I am trying something new. I only gave myself about 1200 calories which gave me a little room to go off plan. Maybe this will help. I had a slightly bigger snack than expected, the cheese was too good but I'm still only at 1320 for the day even with all the stuff I have left to eat so...this might work.

I am at Fat: 66.82, Fiber: 10.2, Net Carbs: 67.08, and Protein: 89.72 which puts me at Calories: 1320. My percentages are as follows:

Carbohydrate (25%)
Fat (47%)
Protein (28%)

This is totally acceptable for my WOE so now I just have to not go off plan by too much and I will be okay. I have been told that I will have to go way down on my fats and sugars the first few weeks but once I start adding stuff back in these percentages will be okay again.

Practicing affirmations for one of my challenges...I got this! BWAHAHAHAHAHA

You do, indeed, "Got this!" @Katies71. Once you have your surgery, be especially careful with meat. Take tiny bites and chew it until there is almost nothing left in your mouth before you swallow.

Deb's got a point. I was diagnosed with a throat disorder, so I have to be very mind full of chewing and swallowing, especially meat. Look at it this way, the longer it takes to eat the less you will eat, in theory at least.🙋

Thank you for the sound advice guys...I will keep plugging away at it. @alnona...not to pry but which one?? I've been diagnosed with vocal cord dysfunction myself but other than sometimes feeling like I didn't swallow my food all the way, it generally just affects my breathing.

What I found helpful is meal planning one day st a time. This way I have laid out in front of me the meal I want or crave plus the calories as well as the carbs and proteins It helps me be more accountable since often before consuming anything can fine tune to stay in my planned calories and carbs. Lots of time I give myself wiggle room but often chose not to use. If you write down before you eat / no surprises therefore no guilt
