Lotus's Journal, 27 April 2008

Well I almost hit my target last night, but the midnight snack fairy paid me an unwelcome visit. I felt ravenous and there was no ignoring it. The longer I laid there in bed the more I started thinking about brownies and ice cream!
I finally did find myself in the kitchen. I had two stalks of celery and 4 animal crackers! About 55 calories..who knew you could tame a craving with so little. My brain is easily fooled.
I did have an early dinner, so it had been about 6 1/2 hours since I had eaten.
Oh well, no harm done..I remember the days when I would have ate half a jar of peanut butter with oreos, a bowl of cereal, refilled twice, then some premium ice cream on top of that. Eaten quickly of course before it hit my stomach, then I would be alsolutely miserable. Just goes to show that just beacuse you "mess up" a little doean't mean you throw it all away.
That is a lesson it took me a while to learn!
Scale is stuck for now, TOM is official. I have been dreading it for days now. The bloating starts the week before about halfway through. I am going to get some more water pills today to help with that. Well I gotta go get ready for church, chat later, ya'll!

Wow, curbing a craving so strong with only celery and a few animal crackers? impressive! I'm sure you'll get down to goal soon!

wow, that is such a difference in what we consider a snack... but i know exactly what you mean. My god, this brings back memories or coming home and stuffing myself, then eating dinner. If i were you, i'd be so, sooo proud of myself
