Very frustrated. I started gaining weight when I dropped my calorie intake, and someone mentioned that I might not be getting ENOUGH calories, so I increased my daily allowed number for a week. Gained weight instead. Can't seem to drop weight at all... so annoyed.

Your body needs to get used to the higher caloric intake. It doesn't mean it's not working. The increase may also have nothing to do with your caloric intake and could be from sodium, hormones, stress, exercise, etc. Drink your water to flush out sodium. Make sure you are getting enough protein. Get in fresh fruits, veggies and lean dairy. Watch out for too many processed foods which contain a lot of sodium. You might try zig zagging your caloric intake (high and low days) to keep your metabolism guessing. Good luck!
