How do I add food if I don’t know all the details? Eating out & the restaurant is not listed. I only have calorie count of the food.

I just guesstimate. It may not be exact but close enough for me. So far it's worked out good. I also round up for calorie count if I'm not sure. Beats putting in each ingredient, which I do occasionally if it's only 3 or 4 items.

also, some restaurants are in there. just do a search of what it is and it usually shows up near the top.

Sometimes I just have to take a guess. It's more important to make sure SOMETHING is documented, less important to be 100% accurate.

check the menu or ask the waiter for the nutrition info. if they don't have it do your best to estimate from similar restaurants or dishes listed. If weight loss is really your top priority I suggest avoiding eating out and preparing all your meals yourself. don't get me wrong going out everyone and a while is perfectly okay but you'll get the best results from not eating out.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! The restaurant I went to, McCormick & Schmick’s, Was not in the database and I did not think to ask the waiter, so I found a comparable item for it :-)
