-20 here in Upper Michigan. I called in for today. Got up, had coffee with milk, and then a granola/yogurt/peanut butter stock parfait. I also had 2 tasty bananas.
Old me would have brought food into bed with me and I would be willing to bet it’d be chips with melted cheese and hot sauce. About 2,000 calories worth. And, I’d be left feeling guilty and ashamed. Now I’m warm in new jammies, watching tv, and journaling. I’m acknowledging my fatigue and I don’t need to stuff myself to get motivated. I’m allowing myself to take good care of myself.
One thing I know is I can follow my WOE to a tee all day long usually, until about 5 or 6. I have supper, and then I’m guaranteed to snatch up cheese, crackers, ice cream... whatever is within reach.
I’m trying so hard to stay aware of my feelings about food and satiety. It’s when I check out that I mindlessly eat and then throw everything out of whack. I envy people who can make great choices without so much deliberation. But for me, it takes daily diligence and attention.
I haven’t tried to lose weight for a few weeks now, and I’m probably not going to try until March. Until then, I hope to maintain near 170.
Have a wonderful day everyone and stay warm.
