Terrapain. Food is a serious addiction. I told my husband that last night as he ate half his tub of ice cream and then popcorn in front of me.

I try to go in another room if my wife is eating ice cream and popcorn. Also, ice cream is a once in a fifth Thursday, blue moon, kind of food for me.

@liv001 - My body does not care if I consume solid for or liquids, except when it comes to digestion, liquids digest waaay easier :) @Harmless2 - In my experience, I can consume up to 900 calories and still lose 1-2 pounds. 'Water Fasting' is only required for spiritual reasons, not weight loss.

Adef i disagree. Calories are calories no matter what form they are consumed in . But I do think that it is easier on the digestive tract to consume liquid calories plus your body processes the liquid calories faster which would put you into a fasted state faster than consuming solids. I also think that when I water fasted I lost more weight but I also had more weight to lose at the time which is a big part of it. If you have more weight to lose you will lose more weight no matter the diet.

@kaylinrenee - I am only speaking to my own experience. When I water fasted the weight loss was virtually the same as when I drank protein drinks (but kept the calories below 900). Results may be different for others.

Hi-low, sorry about the confusion. I thought you were saying that people shouldn't fast for as long as 66 hours. No disrespect taken.
