Fasting a.m. BS = 157; Weight = 169.9. I think my fasting blood sugars are up this week because of inflammation of my sciatic nerve and not being able to sleep at night or exercise in daytime. At least that is what I hope! Weight continues to go down. Yahhh!
Ok, it occurred to me that several years ago when I was extreme dieting, I started having problems with my sciatic nerve. People on here have warned about how necessary it is to keep up your potassium and magnesium levels with Keto. I haven't been taking a multi-vitamin and even though I take potassium daily, I hadn't paid attention to magnesium. So today I asked my chiropractor if magnesium affected the sciatic nerve. He said "Absolutely!" "Calcium excites it and magnesium calms it!" So there it is! Hopefully adding magnesium will positively affect my sciatica!!! (I should have known better than to skip vitamins when extreme dieting!)
