Day one of Whole30 went well. It's easy when you don't have time to eat poorly. My daughter and I made dinner together and she even cut up the veggies, which if you know my daughter you would understand my pure awe. She ate something that had onions and peppers in it, which is unheard of. My hubby and my son at plain chicken. We asked him if he'd eat what we made last night and he said to just make it and he'd eat it. Then about halfway through making it he decided he "couldn't" eat it, so we just left a couple of pieces of chicken to the side and my son ate salad with my daughter and I, but my husband grabbed chips. I told my husband that if he's going to want side dishes other than veggies for the next month he's going to have to figure that out for himself.

Tonight is a sausage and hash brown casserole and we'll make one with onion and veggies and the other without. I'm really proud of my daughter for trying some new things. She wasn't snacking on junk all night or after school, so that's a positive step for day one, and I think seeing her doing well will help me do better too. The weekend is always the hardest, so we'll just have to push each other through when we get there. :)

So far day 2 is going well and I'm excited to see how this goes. I know when I eat better I just feel better all around, so that's a good motivator. We'll see if I can keep my positive attitude through the rest of the 30 days. :)

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

That is wonderful that you are doing the diet with your daughter. It is great that you have each other for support.
