Lotus's Journal, 01 March 2008

Ok, so yesterday, I did great, I walked 4 miles around the track pushing the stroller, I did 30 minutes boxing, 30 minutes abs, plus weight training, and I actively played outdoors with Kaelyn, kicking a ball and running around, for 2 hours. I kept my pedometer while playing with her and I got an additional 2.5 miles in from that. Ok, then Brandon's grandma calls and invites us to his Great Grandma's birthday party. I barely had time to eat before we left, but i managed to grab a sandwich. At the party there was cheese and crackers, no veggies per usual, and of course a huge cake and ice cream, and punch with sherbet. The most tempting was the sherbet punch, but not wanting to add an unknown amount of calories to my daily count, I pulled out my water. All I ate while there was a 100 calories pack of Wheat thins I brought form home. When I got home I did more crunches and squats. This morning I worked out before breakfast, 45 minutes of the biggest loser workout. Then..DRUMROLL PLEASE.. the scale went up a pound from yesterday. Well, I was about to chunk the scale out the window and go bake some banana bread(just kidding!!) when I caught sight of the calendar. Guess what time of the month it is! I always retain water starting about two days before I start my white pills(birth control). And I start white pills tommorrow. So unfortunately I will have to continue to be patient to see those numbers I have been pining for. I will continue to be vigilant in the meantime, because I know I will get there. I won't be posting my weight every day this week, but I will still check it every day. I hate being female, I swear.

Great workout there - so fabulous work! Grahh... the perils of water weight can sure be frustrating, but just wait until it's gone and all your efforts will show up. ;o)

Wow - well done on getting all that exercise in! It's good that you know your body well enough now to understand the reason for the gain - it's so frustrating when it happens, but at least you know why. You're doing great, and that pound will come off again in no time!
