If it is autism I’m sorry he was not diagnosed at an early age, there is so much help here in USA. If it is autism he does not belong in a psych ward, he needs therapy. The ones I’m familiar with is early interventionist (I am an early interventionist) age 0-3yrs. And for kids 3 and above ABA therapy (I used to work as an ABA therapist). There is many many many more therapy’s out there for kids with autism.

Do you live in USA, if you do...you need to contact regional center and open up a case. In California they give us “baby sitting hrs for kids 3- above. I get 30 hrs for my 4 yr old who has autism. I can go to the movies, use them to save a day or two $ of babysitting for work, or whatever

You also #1 need to contact his pediatrician and tell him you need a referral sent to the medical insurance, because ur son has autism.

Their is a reason for the aggression, people with autism can’t really express themselves (lack of social skills) so with therapy you can find the source of why he’s being aggressive n fix it 👌🏼

Wait* just to make myself clear, u cannot fix autism I meant the problem.
For example some kids with autism are sensitive to light 💡 so by simply putting a light cloth on top of a lamp they can feel better. (That’s what I meant)

Thanks for the feedback.
1. I need to have all grains eliminated as I have graves and hashimotis. Keto works best. I did a 1200 calorie diet a day for 3 months and lost nothing a few years ago.
2. My son was threatening to kill him self, running away, hurting me and my other 2 children. His therapists were telling me he needed inpatient treatment. He has been very high functioning the last 3 years, but had surgery in February and our world came unraveling, going insane a month ago. We know it can’t be fixed and don’t want him “fixed”. He’s an incredibly gifted little boy. We do need the violence to stop and that is better at the moment.
3. Once we have a “real diagnosis” (neuro eval) we can get the disability, respite and ABA. All great things but useless until it’s official. It takes a minimum of 2 months to get in for an evaluation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

My son loves a weighted blanket.
Thank you for your comments though. I’m not trying to make excuses. Just trying to stay accountable and good luck with your child. 🙂

Rosio- you’re right there is a lot of resources, once I get an official diagnosis. A psychiatrist, psychologist, behavior therapist and social worker all say he’s higher functioning autistic, but still need a neuropsych evaluation. His pediatrician tried to get him in for a neuropsych earlier, but they won’t allow a doctor to diagnose that. It’s all about the right channels. In the meantime, while I’m waiting, there’s nothing but being caught in the middle of the system and a child who needs help. An extremely frustrating place to be, when a family needs more assistance than they can get. I don’t want my child back in a children’s hospital, but I don’t want him dead or harming my other children or myself either. He’s only 7, but almost 5 feet and 112 pounds. He is extremely strong, I heard something shift when he was pushing himself against a wall in rage. I can only hope the antipsychotic will hold him until we get the diagnosis and his evaluation is scheduled for August 20th. A lot can happen in 42 days.
