Hi Fritzy! Maintaining the life. I can't stop with nuts, either!

Thanks Bill. Pistachios and other nuts are high on the list of foods that are anti inflammatory. I'm okay with just a few almonds or walnuts but will have to avoid pistachios

Thanks for sharing -- 7 lbs in Jan. sounds terrific -- personally -- learning how to live with imperfection is part of developing a healthy relationship with food, or any habit change (thinking I've done wrong by eating, then eating to make myself feel better about eating...I dunno is it just me or does that sound, circular?) I future-tripped this a.m. about when I reach a weight-loss plateau...and how I’ll keep going despite disappointment -- the scale digits maybe not moving or heaven forfend, going in the 'wrong' direction...as they say, one day at a time.

Kat - 16 peanuts would be fine. The only peanuts in my house come from the feed store for the squirrels and blue jays so not for human consumption!

Thanks Fatastique - right now I just focus on one day at a time. When the scale doesn't budge I'll usually have a day with liquids only just to nudge the number down

Down 7 pounds in January is great 👍 !! I tell people “nuts butter me up” because they go to my jowls and are quickly noticeable.

You are still doing good! The nuts counted out on counter is one I'll steal from you. Great plan but stick to it. Hawaiian rolls are hubby's favorite! We have them around all the time, luckily I don't eat much bread anymore. Crunchy stuff is my downfall. Popcorn, pretzels etc..I don't buy them anymore cuz temptation is to strong.

You're doing great. I've never had Hawaiian rolls, because I was afraid I'd like them too much! You have just confirmed that is likely the case. I do love my bread. I've substituted it with oyster crackers on occasion when having soup,(60 cals per bag and I also get a little crunch). When a bag is gone, it's gone! Thanks for sharing, most of us have our challenges!

Thanks Tom! Nuts are so easy to over eat. But they are really healthy if you can eat small portions - not easy!

Thanks Diana. I actually did okay with 20 pistachios on the cutting board for a out 2 days. I'm going to switch to walnuts, I know I won't be tempted to have more than 2 tablespoons. I need to figure out something instead of even just a partial Hawaiian roll to take with a pain pill in the middle of the night . Don't want to get an ulcer and since I stop eating around 3pm, my stomach is empty when I take a pill at midnight or later

Thanks BadJuju, don't try the Hawaiian rolls if you find bread addicting! I've always loved them. I like oyster crackers too and would eat the whole package if I had them in the house
