Day 4 of a planned 5 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting
For the past few days, I have been going through a 'stressful I want to eat' mode.
What seems to work for me is 'acceptance' and 'surrender'. This is why I give in to my 'binge eating' but, limit it to only liquids. There is ‘damage’, but is drastically less than in the past. For me, this is the 'grace' in my life. When I recognize 'the grace/blessings' I feel 'gratitude'.
'Gratitude' is the highest spiritual place for me.
😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Excellent work, brother. So much time and energy is wasted on self recrimination.

When I think I can't handle one more minute on the tread or I can't press out the last of my weights... I think of you and it pushes me through. Thank you🙋

Oh no, not the I want to eat more. Grrr darn stress. Hang in there. You got this. I need to look into your electrolytes. I'm often thirsty even though I take magnesium and light salt that has sodium and potassium. I hope those cravings go away soon.

@Alnona - Awww thank you so much for the kind words!

@jenjabba - Yeah it is so funny about the electrolytes. My body really does not need a lot of water. I swear you only need a lot of water to bind the glycogen for the 200+ carbs the normal person sucks down each day haha! For example, when I am on a 'true water only fast' I may drink like 2 glasses of water even on a day that I run 5-7 miles. 'Electrolyte imbalance' will put me in the hospital before dehydration. https://draxe.com/electrolyte-imbalance/

Have you ever tried a dry fast? Do you think it’s true that one 24 hr one has the same effect as a 72 regular food fast?

@tsamtos2s8 - I have never tried a dry fast because I like to run 5-7 miles a day and that would be too risky :)

You’ve been doing this for so long now. Maybe it’s time to experiment with a different style of dieting? Or hold fast and get to that goal!

@CrashtestDawnie - You didn't notice my recent change? Haha! I have been dropping my level of protein... well I did up to this week (this week I am hitting the protein hard because I am 'binging' because of stress). Anyway, cutting my protein had me finally dropping again. My waist is down to 30 inches, last year I think I was like 42 inches. - - I will be going on vacation for 10 days next month and I will eat-like-no-tomorrow :) That will get me a huge 'reset'. When I get back I will probably go back to 5-day 'no solid food fasts' I 'feel' better when I do it. It is basically the 'lazy man's way to IF Haha!
