I am a mother of 2 boys ( in there 30's ) wife (married for 40 years) and

I am going through perimenopause at the moment ! Ugh

Never had a weight problem til I hit the age of 50 ....just a few extra pounds to lose and decided to go on a diet . Then suddenly i gained almost 40 pounds lol

November 2016 i weighed myself on my birthday and I said to myself " wow 156 lbs !!!!! I have to get a grip and at least try to be a healthy weight "


I want to make this a healthy lifestyle and NOT a diet !

Being a healthy weight and happy is what I am looking to achieve.

Also controlling my emotional eating .....I have noticed that when I consume healthy fats I have less cravings !

I need to improve on the exercise and weight lifting aspect more

Looking forward to one day not having to come on here and track every nutritional information that I consumed would be awesome.

Doing the low carb eating at the moment! ( Under 50g ) and under 1000 calories seems to be working for me ! But I like to experiment and see how things go with other different types ....

*** UPDATE MARCH 30th 2019

It's been about a month now that i have decided to no longer do the "low carb" and i have been just counting calories, keeping it around 1200 calories daily and eating healthy and also enjoying all types of food in moderation. I still do my weight lifting and planks and other physical activity !

Help i am on low carb diet !
You are all stuck on the " 1 pound a day weight loss " that i stated in my post on my thread . As i have stated it was unrealistic of me to think that it could be possible to achieve that goal ! Now can we please move on ........ thanks !

I have decided to do the low carb diet for at least 30 days and see how it goes ! if it doesn't work out then i will try another type of weight loss !

We are all different in the manner in which we lose weight so we need to experiment ! You have your way and other people have there way !

I really wanted some input on the low carb diet / input as how was it going for you and what were you doing and what was your success rate but nevermind i will google it and ask a professional in that field !

Let's encourage and support each other whatever way we choose to lose weight !
