Good luck! Just keep in mind that you might "balloon" a few kgs within the first days of quitting keto (happened to me both times) - it's like the body fills with water or something... once I actually felt my jeans getting tighter and tighter as I was wearing them! Hahaha.

Good luck but I bet you don't need it - it's a good thing to have that healthy relationship and I bet you are closer than you think with everything you already have done.

You can do this.👍 Wishing you luck. I was doing keto at the beginning and switched to a more balanced woe, for me. I thought about going back a few times, because I lost fast on keto, but I read so much about other members here doing it with a more balanced and slower method that it encouraged me to stick with it. So, with this experiment, that your time and see what makes sense for you. 😊

At the end it does not matter how long it takes.

Yeah, gotta say, after 60+ years I've finally made friends with food. Makes a world of difference. Seriously. Remember, when you first eat carbs, you'll attract some water weight. Water weight isn't our enemy, fat weight is, so don't freak. Best of luck in your balanced WoE adventure! Enjoy your journey. :)

Thanks guys! I’m going to weigh myself in the morning and then put my scale away 😰 I know I’ll gain water weight and I’ll bloat slightly. I have gone off 2 times already and know what I’m up for. I went to the store and bought a bunch of carbs 😜 fruits, dairy, and a few starchier carbs like corn tortillas and a sweet potato. I’m going to try not to eat any flour or rice and keep my carbs at about 25- 30%. Going to pre track now so i can see how many carbs that will be. I’m excited and scared. I may totally fail and end up eating scones and bagels and candy (I work next to Panera) tomorrow and go right back to keto on Tuesday 😅😅😅 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

BTW, agree with regard to weight training. I strength train 2-3 days per week and walk or ride my bike. Especially for postmenopausal women, who lose muscle mass each year, strength training is vital.

I did a great course a couple of years ago online through the Institute for the Psychology of Eating called Heal Your Relationship with Food. It did, in fact, heal my relationship with food and eating. Marc David, an RD and MSci Psychology is the founder and designed and teaches the course. I recommend it often. Marc has some great videos on YouTube. Definitely recommend. Weight loss is one thing. A right relationship with food is another.

@CrashtestDawnie - I'm really 100% behind you on this. Yeah we get afraid, but we walk through it. It could turn out to be exactly what you want. Either way, we have to LIVE. Anyway, your friends are here with you :)
