whatever. i just journaled how i felt...then my stupid internet booted me...lost it all...so whatever. now i am crying. frustrated. mad at myself. disappointed in my choices and excuses.
190.5 lb Lost so far: 12.5 lb.    Still to go: 17.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I've been there so many times... Things don't always go how we want, we are not perfect, we stumble but we get back up! Just the fact that you're here is a good choice! You can do it!

If it makes you feel any better, I put on 11+ lbs over 9 days in my time away from the scale. It is important to cheat from time to time to prevent your body from going into starvation mode. Nothing to fret over, just count it as a break and get back on track. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Starvation mode is a psychological condition, not a physical condition.

I just made a keto chicken enchilada soup and it was realllllly good. I needed to eat something I really love besides bacon and cheese. if knew how to post the recipe I would. but I thought it was as good as any restaurant that I have had it at.. down 1.2 today..yeaaa

Honey, I am going through menopause, and every single day I am crying and then breaking something out of rage and then crying again. I just joined 'fatsecret' one minute ago. I have gained 50 pounds in 4 months. Wanna talk about bad choices and excuses?? How the heck ya gonna gain 50 pounds in 4 months? (because i'm depressed, i'm sad, i deserve to eat 1 kilo of cookies blah blah) Also, I'm 54 years and 5 feet tall; that 50 pounds is a huge amount of weight on me and stress on my body. I went to the grocery store and they had about 8 clear plastic BINS filled with bakery cookies FREE. FREE delicious bakery cookies - they've NEVER given away free cookies, and they were everywhere!! I wanted to smash those clear plastic bins filled with delicious, delicious cookies so much. Like - are you kidding me?? Then I left my wallet at home and couldn't pay. I have no one to talk to for moral support, and my boyfriend constantly teases me about my fat, fat ugly weight. Crying is okay, you just can't let it ruin you. As a matter of fact, scientists have finally understood that when you cry, your body releases CORTISOL in your tears! Cortisol the stress hormone, that too much makes you metabolize fat into your stomach and also harms your heart. They think it might be why women generally live a little longer than men, just crying and getting rid of some cortisol. JUST started on a keto diet plan about 4 days ago. I don't know what else to do. It's the only diet that will allow me to eat lots of meat and fat!! Worst part of KETO, can't 'cheat' AT ALL or it throws you out of ketosis, and if you're not in ketosis you're basically just eating a lot of fat. The calorie intake is tolerable, but the sugar cravings are KILLING-ME!!!!!! OMG I wanted to just eat 20 fat cookies in 2 minutes.

Ok, great that u realize u are using excuses. 🙌🏼 now think of what u really want, u want food to satisfy u for 1-2 minutes or u want to reach ur goals? I’m not saying don’t eat, I’m saying watch ur intake n every time u want to give in into over indulging think about ur goals. Is that extra food worth u not reaching ur goals?

When in doubt eat an apple..its sweet and filling. l do it everyday.

Oh how I hate when that happens! My phone freezes too and then I’ll lose everything I was typing. So very frustrating! As to the crying- it can be a good stress reliever so use it. Get it out and get on as my aunt says. Next week will be better and there is a ton of moral support here!

@bunny I went through surgical menopause then found cancer and did chemo and all. Over that 10 months I gained 14 lbs and another 10 in the following 7 months! So from 136 to 160 in 22 months total with a few month in there were I stayed the same (chemo wouldn’t let me eat much for 2 months as well). I so understand the cookies! I realize now that if I had just cut out my 2 cokes a day and my 2-3 handfuls of conversation hearts a night I’d have been able to lose without all the work I’ve put in and starving myself. Now fixing my metabolism while trying not to gain lol. Menopause sucks! Ready to ask my dr for an appetite suppressant as I’m hungry all the time. You have better willpower than I as I’d have bought the cookies lol.
