BCAAs go in my pre-workout drink, and I add extra to the protien shake after. I think really really helpful. I got unflavored so I can add to plain water. too

Yep, H. You're right of course. I found a couple pounds of that Purple Wrath stuff leftover from the last time I ran leangains and tried it today. Have been really struggling lifting fasted, but killed it today. Sticking with the BCAAS even though I remain a skeptic. Have a great week.

Hmmm...I work out after my Bulletproof Coffee..which has MCT oil, grassfed butter and coconut oil blended in to it. I run off fat most of the morning. The Pre-workout drink has beta-alanine and caffeine, and I add the BCAAs. I can feel the difference but I suppose it could be placebo effect...

H - I hear you on the placebo effect. Who cares, right? How long (and why) have you been doing Asprey's coffee thing? I never really understood the value in a couple hundred extra KCAL from fat in the morning, vs. a protein shake or simply fasting.

I have been using just the BP Coffee for well over one year, and the intermittent fasting 16:8. The coffee with the fats blended in truly satiates the appetite...I seldom eat solid food before 1:00pm. My eating window is generally 1:00pm until 9:00pm because it suits my work schedule. I usually go to the gym around 9:00am-10:00am. I am on a ketogenic plan so the BP coffee helps get the fat percentage up for the day, too.
