Doctor said to add BEANS to my diet. Less meat and fat. Keto is taking a toll on me. Still no Dairy, Sugar or gluten. Cant wait for an apple.

sorry to hear that. I really love my keto diet. Beans would take your diet out of keto territory. If you can eat beans why can you not eat an apple?

I'm not knocking keto BUT with that said it's not for everyone. I tried keto and it put me in the hospital in 2 months. I was losing a lot but ended up in ketoacidosis. They say it only happens to type 1 diabetics but wrong it can happen to type 2 also. Better to have nutritious carbs then hardly any. I lost 65 pounds in 2 months and gained 80 back in 2 months after I added carbs back into my diet and was even counting calories. It ruins your metabolism, and can kill your kidneys.

A ketogenic diet did wonders for my weight, but it increased my restless legs issues. I still follow it for the most part, but I’ve had to up my carbs as per doctors orders. Beans and apples are good carbs, I glad to be enjoying them once again 🙂

I'm intentionally getting more beans in too - they're so nutritious and full of good fiber!! There's a reason for the old adage "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" - they have a low glycemic load and they are so damn delicious 😋💖🍏🍎

I'm always leery of extreme ways of eating. I chose to eat as natural, clean and ballanced as I can while staying in shape. Although I've heard some near meraculous results from keto, which likewise makes me leery. I've always been a Doubting Tomas, so you should be leery of my opinion. :)🤣🤣
