Day 26 on the Virgin Diet ( JJ Virgin author), and it works well. This week as of Tuesday I was allowed to re introduce Gluten, so I had whole wheat bread , still other bad foods on list, and I felt terrible . Major stomach ache. If you follow her advice you introduce 1 bad food per week starting with 3 days of trying gluten. I only did one and have decided its not worth it. I also am now taking her advice since I have more than 20 lbs to lose , to stay in phase one of the diet until I am closer to my weight goal. I have lost 9 lbs since starting this diet. And as with any other diet lose more when I exercise . So I will still endeavor to work out more. Only got one workout in this week , pretty sure I am not a morning person, and I'm usually up at 5:30 to be at work by 7, by the time 4 o'clock rolls around I want a nap..lol maybe caffeine will work better for workout purposes. Anyway I am in a good mood and recommend testing out this food sensitivity plan.

Started JJ Virgin's diet plan this past Tuesday . Cutting out 7 bad foods for a minimum of 21 days to heal the body and to find food sensitivities .
No gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, peanuts, corn, sugar or artificial sweetener.

so far I have not been hungry really. breakfast is a vegan protein shake with low sugar fruits ( berries), avocado , ground chia or flax seeds. Lunch this week same as breakfast. dinners include dark green leafy veg, a protein such as fish, shrimp, steak, chicken etc.sweet potato or brown rice, or wild rice. Snacks if needed would be low sugar fruit with nut butter such as almonds, macadamia etc. Eating dinner earlier which is a good thing . diet does switch it up to have main meal during lunch if wanted ...no counting calories really but I may start tracking tomorrow just to see how many calories a day are happening . down 3 lbs since Tuesday ..hadn't weighed myself in a while and had hit 180 lbs. even though I was eating healthy and exercising during that time ...which is why I decided to give this a go and reset my body functions which in the grand scheme of things is this diets goal.

So, still deciding if weighing myself is ever a good idea ever again. I don't really care what the scale reads , its more of how i feel about myself and overall health. Yes I want to lose fat as I dislike the image in my mirror these days.
I didn't workout very much at all this week. Sunday night didn't sleep at all..I mean zero minutes, so after work on monday I was exhausted. Slept a bit Monday night , Tuesday not sure why I didn't work out , I could have but didn't. Not a lot of motivation. Its a struggle this one day at a time , and I know I didn't put this weight on overnight, it is much harder at the age of 53 , with a slow metabolism getting slower by the minute it looks like. I know I had to work my ass of and diet so strict to get to the weight level when I competed , I cringe thinking about that much work , only because I am not at the fitness level to be able to do it. I have to make a much bigger effort to workout / or do the treadmill work of somesort everyday so that it is part of my day and not Work. I use to LOVE working out. I always feel better once I start and after I have completed my daily fitness work not sure what happened to me that reset my mind to not want to do it. Hmmmmm....Need to love myself more I guess.
Last note. I am not weighing myself this week but I will be checking in each day to log my workout. Feel free to join my in my daily bliss :)
