Started Fat Secret in Jan 2022. I'm in my late 30s and about 50 lbs overweight. I've always been on the chubbier side, but I usually hide my weight well. But when I got over 200 while not being pregnant, that was the beginning of my wake up call. Highest was 220? I'm 5'7" and at my fittest was around 140-145 lbs. Most of my adult life I've fluctuated between 150s, 160s, 170s. 7 years ago I injured my foot while training for a half marathon. I think it was then my fitness started to decline. I've had other foot issues, but my overall health has been good. Cholesterol and blood pressure have never been an issue. After I had my 4th baby, never really lost all the baby weight. Compound that with the death of my sister, neck injury from a car crash, and some mild depression. Those are the excuses I've relied on, but I won't rely on them anymore. I can and I will regain my health and fitness. Especially since I am at high risk for breast cancer. I'm focusing on eating lots of fruits, vegetables, beans and whole grains, and working more protein into my diet. I love to bake and sweet treats are my weakness. I am learning to enjoy them in smaller portions and working it into my daily calories/macros so I can still enjoy the food I love and also reach my goals. I currently wear a size 16 and would love to get back down to size 8, but I'll take 10 or 12. I like to walk outside, garden, do yoga, and strength train.
