Today is Tax Day 2013. Since this is my Weight Loss Journal then I guess it is appropriate to write how I got here first then my goal.
How I got here: On 11-8-08 I weighed a pleasant (for me) 159 lbs. I always weighed heavier than I looked. Muscle I guess. Plus I have a long torso.
All my adult life I ranged 127 to 164 lbs. Both extremes were for a short time. I seemed to average 142 to 148 in my 30's then 148 to 159 in my 40's.
This past year since I've been laid off the last 10 lbs crept up. I must get really serious to change my habits for this weight gain is not the end. I could gain more with the eating habits I've created since quitting smoking. One addiction to another I guess.
I do not want to ever smoke again. I'm dead serious on this. A cardiologist told me that my 1 pack a day was equivalent to 100 lbs extra weight!
The idea was to become more healthy not to gain weight and become less healthy. I'm actually very scared about gaining more weight. Just when I think I've stabilized I get another pound or two.
So maybe this journal will help. Maybe being part of community will help. I just want to eat to live and stop living to eat. This means habits have to change and I expect the next 30 days will be hardest for they say it takes that long to change a habit.
My 2 Goals:
159 lbs and new habit of eating to live then progress to 148 lbs.
