My name is Liz, I'm 40 yrs old and have battled the bulge for many years. Due to various excuses, I have managed to pack on some pounds over the past couple of years - to my limit, which was 180 on Feb 1, 2010. I am determined to get back to where I was (or a little less) 142 in 2007. I've got a long road to hoe, but I know I will get there. My husband is also working hard on his life style change and we are going to do this together. <3

I am currently on Nutrisystems supplemented with fruits, dairy, protein and veggies. I am also doing the ChaLEAN Extreme work out program. This program allows you to work out in the comfort of your own home.

There are times that my scan doesn't work and other times it works just fine. I'd say for mine, it works 95% of the time. I have the HTC Eris.

I apologize. When I was looking through the forums at the most recent posts, I did not realize that this was an Adkins only forum when I posted my previous comment. Best wishes to you all.

moving on
My husband and I have been "dieting" or making a life style change since January. Every two weeks (granted, I know we only just started) but we told each other that we need to still go out and enjoy other things than be a slave to the calorie counts, the carb/fat counts. So, we indulge a little bit. We don't go crazy. Have a few light beers, some pizza or whatever we want. We just workout harder the next day. The key is MODERATION and not over indulging. There are a lot of low carb beers out there, a little watered down, but still nice to enjoy every now and again. Tonight we went to a party and we brought the MGD Lite with 64 calories. I had three of them, some chips and a slice of pizza. It's not going to ruin everything I have started. Every day is a new day also, and you can try a little harder, work out a little longer. If you give up everything, then when you do decide to indulge, you may throw it all away and go completely off track. You have to treat yourself. Just my .2 cents. Smile
