Quit smoking a yr ago, Menopause, stress (work, money, kids)
Hello all
You name it. I've got many strikes against me.
Lost 50 ten yrs ago after divorce. Gained 30 back in the last 5 yrs.
I'm 49. My single status is terminal The weight isn't helping my self esteem.
Plus my dog left me for the Shiatsu next door and my hillbilly truck burned.
I sound like a soap opera or a whiney country song.
I quit soda and started walking a month ago. Starting a diet tomorrow.
I'm afraid of how well I do with the holiday goodies about to start trickling in. I'm on a see food diet at work.
Please send positive vibes my way. I wish all of you strength and good luck as well

Menopause and weight gain
OMG this is me too !! I'm 49 I just went for my yearly check up last week. I told my doctor that I think I am coming down with Menopause. I'll get the blood tests back soon. PLUS I quit smoking a year ago.
Otherwise, I'm healthy as a horse. Thyroid, glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure all good/
The rest of boomergal's story fits me to a T.
My doctor suggested 1200 calories a day to get motivated. I'm going to gibe it a try starting tomorrow. Taht article apatrick1 provided was helpful.
