Married Professional with a highly stressful job. I have gained more than 50 lbs in the past three years, due to a new job, commuting more than 200 miles three days per week, and recovering from an illness. Im so not happy with my current weight and lack of self confidence. I have always been an happy person (still am), outgoing, fun to be around. And, I love that about myself, just not happy with my current body image. So, here is to new beginnings.

Thank you Miraculum! My screen name is simply from a take off of this site "Fat Secret" and I am actually not that old, just a nana from my husbands children, children! LOL! No glasses or rocking chair...yet! Just my step children have kids and I'm known as bonus mom and Nana! So, as you can see I just put the two together.
Yes you are right I'm doing it now before I see those chronic conditions creep on me and start havoc on my body. Not sure really the difference among keto diets. But, the real difference between no sugar and the paleo is that at least paleo allows for some fruits. With the sugar detox it was absolutely no sugars. I'm going to be switching off soon, so I can start introducing the goods sugars back into my body.

Wishing you the best on your journey, my secret friend!

Hi Everyone! I am a newbie to the site and just getting familiar with all of the great things I have already discovered. I have never been a journaling type of person, and I don't know what's different this time, but this site makes it easy and really encouraging. I just began my journey on May 22nd and decided to try the sugar detox diet for the first 10 days, and I am half way there. In four days I have already lost 5 lbs. Feeling really good.

I am not starting this weight loss journey cause I'm sick or been diagnosed with any chronic condition, just really sick of being overweight. I have to start feeling good about myself again, and of course before anything does happen. I am getting older and know that if I keep going as I am, eventually things will catch up to me. So, I made the decision, there's no better time than now.

I really don't want to do a diet per say, I want to eat healthy and completely stay away from processed foods, eat more natural healing foods. I have found that the sugar detox diet is very much the Paleo Diet. So, I just might very well continue on this route. Oh, but I do love my cheese! LOL! But, I really have been doing so good this week and feel really good.

I have even noticed the boost of energy that I have had. Mid day around three I just get tired and have very little energy left. Even noticed clarity in my thought process and concentration. So, im looking forward to moving forward and hope to become apart of the support group to many others along this journey together! Talk soon!
