Weight lifting for women
I've also been doing a lot of strength training with a personal trainer for a little over three months. My initial goal was to lose the 15 lbs I gained after I stopped smoking last October.
The net result has been much different than I expected:
1) I haven't lost any "weight" and for the first time in my life I can say that I really don't care
2) I've lost 4% body fat
3) I've never felt so strong or had so much stamina
4) I've been getting a lot of compliments about how great I look lately (from others AND from myself)
I'm thrilled, and going to keep it up!
