I went to the doctor for an "mot"- a free health check. She said I was overweight. I am 5foot5 and weighed just over 11 stone. I walked the dog every day for 1 hour. She told me to eat less and exercise more. I tried for a year and not much changed.
Then I read HOW NOT TO DIE by MICHAEL GREGER. I changed my diet to whole foods plant base. No fast food, no processed food and no junk foods, these are high calorie low nutrient foods and should have the death warning written on them.
My body needs high nutrient foods, which just so happen to be low in calories. I joined the gym and go to exercise classes...just 45mins a day. So far I have lost 1 stone.
My diet and lifestyle has changed and I really enjoy it. Which I think is key to maintaining a healthy body. I have the odd food intake where it goes wrong but my body is efficient enough to cope with it.
I have found this website great and keeps me focused. Good luck to you all trying to changed your body...change your mind, change your foods and your body will reward you with weight loss, health and efficiency.
