Sooooo I haven't weighed in for almost 10 days now. I could have weighed in a few days ago, but it's a combination of fear/curiosity. I was originally terrified to weigh in after my binge of fast food while I was on travel, but now I'm curious if I can keep my weight low without checking in every day. I will say, I do like to weigh myself every day just to see how I fluctuate on a daily basis, but I know there are times I can't weigh in every day so I have to get used to it.

Went for a good 3 mile run yesterday. Did three separate 9 minute pace (I usually run 9:45) segments for 9 minutes, with resting inbetween. I felt pretty great afterwards. I hadn't exercised in forever, which is probably why I have so much energy today... Talk about a productive day at work!!

Plan is to go to my body pump class after work this evening. LOVE LOVE LOVE this class. The instructor is awesome and she really gives you a full body work out. Everyone is always super sore the next day, so I'm really looking forward to it.

The boyfriend had his first big interview yesterday down in Baltimore! He thinks it went really really well and had a follow up phone call this afternoon with the hiring manager... He was basically saying "How much do we need to pay you to get you to work here, and when can you start?" I'm so excited for him to finally have some promising opportunities, but at the same time, I'm really sad he's going to have to leave Philadelphia. It's hard to put on a happy face some times.. But either way, I'm so excited for him!

Fun fact of the day: The striped mittenfish, a deepwater species recently discovered in the Java Sea, can change its sex at will by turning its entire body inside out.... Bizarre

Hello friends! I feel like I've been away for a while, so it's good to be back. The last week has been crazy.. I was down in Norfolk for work until Thursday, drove back up to Philly Thursday night, then drove up to NY to see my family Friday morning. I was planning on having a nice relaxing weekend at home, but that didn't really happen :/

I think the traffic gods decided to S&*$ on me this weekend. I hit an extra hour of traffic on Thursday on my way up to Philly. Then, again on Friday when I was driving to NY. I almost missed my tee time with my dad, but we were able to squeeze it in! I stayed at home Friday night, and my boyfriend was able to stop by too which was nice since I hadn't seen him all week! (He's ironically from the home town next to me, even though we met at Villanova).

I had a few errands I wanted to run on Saturday, but we found out that my Grandmother was really sick so I drove up to Boston with my parents to see her. She has terrible Alzheimers/dimentia and doesn't even remember who I am anymore, which can be really hard. She lives with my aunt and cousins, but my aunt is currently teaching out in London. It's a really messed up situation that I'll bring up another time.. I'm glad I went to go see her though. I'm really afraid that will be the last opportunity I had to see her.. :(

So Saturday was a completely exhausting day, mentally and physically. I took a nap when we got home, but wound up going out with two of my best friends that night. I'm really glad I did, because I ran into so many friends from high school that I hadn't seen in forever, plus my older brother came out too which was fun.

Sunday was hangover recovery day.... I helped my mom cook Easter lunch, slept, and watched the Masters with my dad (GO BUBBA!!) Oh, and I also ate. SO MUCH. I just couldn't stop. I just felt this need to shovel food in my mouth. Oh well. I enjoyed it.

The last thing I wanted to do was drive back down to Philly again last night, so I didn't leave until almost 9pm.. Bad choice. The GWB was jammed from Easter traffic, so I didn't get home until midight. And then got up at 7 for work. Lovely.

So all in all, I got zero exercise, sat in car for close to 18 hours total in the last 4 days, and I ate like I was never going to see food again. I just can't help myself when my mom makes her home made spanakopita... it's just sooooo delicious...

Guess I'll be hittin' the trails tonight for a nice LONG run!

Last day of traveling for work! THANK GOODNESS. I always forget how hard it is to stay healthy while on travel in the South. SaladWorks and Subway do not exist.. It's only McDonalds, Burger King, Hardees, Waffle House, etc etc. And I don't have the option of cooking for myself since I don't have a kitchen. ANNOYING! I went for a swim and for a run while I was down here, plus I'm pretty much on my feet all day which is a nice change from sitting at a desk in Philly.

I'm heading home around noon back to Philadelphia, so I'm not looking forward to another 5-6 hour car ride, and hopefully no speeding ticket this time around.... I'll try to squeeze a good work out in tonight, pack, and then head to NY tomorrow morning to see my parents! And get a round of golf in with my Dad :)

Does anyone have any good Easter plans?? Seeing family? Taking a vacation?
