Keepn' going. Bought a grill. I'm all about grilling meat and veggies right now. haven't been in here in awhile,,,it seems work gets me away from it. but i'm going to try and check in more often this week. i just don't have a lot of time online, as the majority of my time is already spent on a computer, writing.
i still allow myself occasional bread. What can I say - half a bun with a hamburger is like heaven to me, so I allow it.
Anyhoo, off too peruse the recipes. Found a bunch of great grilling ideas online already, so I'm stoked.

Feeling renewed after a hike and back on track - following fairly well, minus the chinese food last night. but it's all about little cheats and moderation for me, so yeah, I'm happy with how it's going. Although this week I plan to step it up a notch and be fairly strict with the carb intake. Also walking forty minutes each day, which helps i think - and the water - 8 to 12 glasses of it - as much as i can take in...
no alcohol - key.

The weight loss has slowed down because, frankly, I am NOT taking this seriously enough. Take last night for instance, I had a LEMON BAR while watching "Waitress" - good movie, but it makes you crave sweets. Although I did have an artichoke, dipped in garlic butter. Is there anything more divine? Plus, it's SO good for you - the artichoke is such a liver friendly veggie and fights free radicals. Somehow eating one is like, a ritual in itself and wholly satisfying. I actually split it with a friend and was stuffed afterwards, although that was probably due to the lemon bar and 2 chocolate chip cookies I had earlier. Usually I can turn down that kind of crap, no problem, but I don't know, I just wasn't thinking and once I had a taste, I ended up eating the whole thing. I am not a "one bite" kind of girl, I guess. Unless it's not that tasty - but these were homemade. Oh well...:) Argh!
Ce la vie! Keep on keepin' on...

Ok, well i got sick last week, so i pretty much stayed the same. feelin' better today though - i think the sunshine helps! got out and took a hike, have eated an apple, orange, homemade chicken veggie soup and am looking forward to some spaghetti squash and beef stew tonight - also homemade. i decided i need a good detox, so i'm following the ten day fast track detox cleanse - it's by what's her name - the same woman as fat flush. it is a bit different than fat flush. for one, dairy is not forbidden. lovin' that. but no caffeine at all. i guess i can deal with that. gotta run, but i really should change my diet from atkins. i just don't know what to change it from. i'll wait until after my cleanse goes and see how i'm feeling...i have a feeling it'll be mostly lean protein, veggies, fruit (not a lot) and healthy carbs...

Things are going fine, but i'm getting tired of eggs and meat. This is how I get after awhile on no/low carb. I'm thinking of changing yet again - i have this cooking light cookbook that has this amazing recipe for a basil tomato tart that i would love for breakfast. i'll just do the 1200 cal per day, a gallon per day, and the usual exercise of 30 minutes per day. just keep on keepin on...
also some lentil stew - yep - it has carbs, but is super healthy, which is why i'm switching the diet plan to include healthy carbs. that of course means i will have to lay off the heavy whipping cream. heh heh.
