Well, I don't have a lot to say about my diet lately. It is still interesting to me to log and pay attention to how I feel. I do notice when I fall about 500 calories short, the next morning I wake up feeling hungry. I would say this would be a good indication for those trying to lose weight .. If you are not waking up hungry, you probably overate the day before or at least ate at calorie level to maintain.

Note: I missed logging a few days because our modem got fried this Saturday during a nasty storm that blew through that night.

Very true -- In regards to pizza, the cheese alone is contributing to high sodium. Add pepperoni or canadian bacon and look out! FYI: 1 oz. cheese contains about 250 mg of sodium (+100 calories/7 g fat) and 1 slice pepperoni contains about 100 mg sodium (+ 27 calories/2.4 g fat) - yikes!

Dietitian's Diet/Fitness Professional's Active Lifestyle - Days 4, 5, 6
As I suspected, Friday I was really short on calories. It was and extremely busy and ACTIVE day -- started off with a 7 mile morning run. Saturday was just as busy as Friday, less the run and instead was an off day from exercise as was Sunday. Sunday, I tried to make up for some of the calories I short changed myself the past couple of days -- we took the kids to GattiTown (pizza buffet). Most of my calories eaten Sunday were during this meal and I really didn't snack. Note that I only ate 3 pieces of pizza and tried to be relatively smart in choosing the items I ate. Even still, the calorie intake was very high. At this point, I could afford the calories, but dieter BEWARE -- buffets are not the place to go! Shock

Dietitian's Diet/Fitness Professional's Active Lifestyle - Days 2 & 3
Well, I have to admit I am finding the results of my journal logging interesting. My second day counteracted falling a little short on calories on day 1 -- remember I am just maintaining. However, on one of my busiest days of the week carting kids around and such, I fell short on calories to a level that would promote weight loss. I am curious to see how I do tomorrow. I suspect I will fall short again as it is another busy day and I plan to run 6 miles first thing in the morning (starts me off 600 calories in the hole).
