Let's hear it for Prince AKIL who helped grandma's exercise even though she had no energy!! French onion soup for lunch and spinach and provolone salad for dinner. Water to drink all day. As soon as I get home I am rejoining the y. I do so miss bike riding. Tonight's mission, stay away from the Oreos!

Grandchildren are great motivators!! Eight each, jumping Jack's, sit ups, crunches and squat thrusts. Boy am I out of shape! I imagine after a few more days of working out with them I will get a little better at this. I almost put it off until tomorrow, but no time like the present, right? I've also been drinking a lot more water. I kept track of all I ate as well. Hopefully I can avoid nighttime snacking. Wish me luck.

I really just wanted to lay around all day and feel sorry for myself, but I didn't. I went to the store and walked my butt off!! I'm trying to think of quick nutritional meals, I seem to have run out of ideas. I used to know what I like. I'm not going to lose heart. I will just keep trying.

I have been a bit under the weather as I have just recently gotten out of the hospital. I had an awful case of pneumonia combined with the flu. I ate awfully, and have been unable to even think about exercising. After two days of being locked up in the house, mostly because the temperature has been in the single digits. Today, I said NO MORE!! I braved the cold and went to pick up cat food. It was cold, but honestly, I quite enjoyed it. I really do like walking!! Even in the cold. I only intended to walk to the corner, but I kept going!! I didn't even buy junk food. This may not seem like a big deal, but to me it is. Not only did I get up, get out and get moving, but I did more than I planned. Baby steps.
