When I was 16 I weighed 105 lbs. I have a small frame and with little or no effort stayed that way through my first baby. Apparently the first baby was free. The second was not. To my horror I discovered one morning I weighed 131 lbs. That second baby, my 40 year old metabolism, and the lifestyle of a working engineer mom had taken their toll. It was April 2008. Since then my husband and I have both lost about 20 lbs. I'm headed back to 105!

Am I eating enough?
I agree with checking with doctor to verify iron levels. Anemia can sneak up on you.

For determining how many calories, I use BMR calculator: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/
WW is nicer in a way though because it helps you assure you are getting food from all the groups. I find, for instance, if I go ultra low fat I feel like I'm starving, even if I'm getting enough calories.

Also, now that I'm older. If I'm not exercising, I get lethargic and hungry feeling -- even if I'm getting enough calories. This is new and started sometime after my 40th birthday. I'm not fond of it.

I can't get eating too few calories to work for me. I end up panicky and starvey feeling and end up eating too many calories in the days following the starve. Its taken me over a year to lose 20 lbs, but this time around its involved very few panicky/starvey days.

Its great hearing that everyone has these experiences!
