Been a little lazy as far as working out goes for the past two days. I was going to do my usual thing yesterday, but apparently I had overworked my arms and chest the day before and nearly pulled a muscle, so I cut it short to keep from hurting myself and making matters worse. Then today I was rather dumb and forgot to change from sandals to gym shoes when I went for a walk and the bottom of my feet are killing me! It's not a big deal, but I'm definitely not a fan, haha.
Been a little out of sorts since I went to Portillo's yesterday and pigged out (for those of you who don't know, it's a fast food joint) when I didn't intend to, but it apparently didn't effect me too badly since I stuck to fruit the rest of the day. I've been getting some really nice compliments in regards to how proud people are of my sticking to being healthier and working out (I might've even inspired my sister-in-law to join in!) and it's definitely been a super nice pat on the back. Not that I necessarily need people to tell me such things, but it definitely helps, and definitely makes me feel super good about what I'm doing.
I tried on some fisherman's pants that I bought this past winter and wasn't a big fan of because of how chubby I was, but today I absolutely loved them! My hips and overall shape are definitely more visible, and the fact that my stomach has slimmed down has helped a ton! I can't wait for a good day to wear them!

Man, biking can sure be a pain sometimes, especially when it's really windy out in the direction of my house. I'm fairly proud of myself, though, I've been slowly increasing my speed and distance along with cutting down my time, and I was pretty sure I was slacking yesterday since it was so windy. It's a nice feeling to go out there and enjoy the weather when it's particularly warm and driving through the neighborhood in areas I haven't really traversed in a long time is a pretty nice trip down memory lane.
My goal by the end of the summer, aside from increasing my speed and distance and keeping my time fairly low, is to make my way to the park across the street from my old junior high (a little over a mile away), loop the park a handful of times (one time and a half about is equal to about a mile) and head back. I can currently manage about four miles on my bike without too much of an issue, but I would like to go for longer than that when I head there. I also intend to go to the local forest preserve and bike through there a few times which would be roughly eight miles to and from my car. I'll get there! Might take some time before I'm ready to take on biking for that long without getting really winded, but I'll manage!
I'll probably end up eating rather poorly this Saturday as I'm going to Six Flags with some friends, but I've looked into nearby restaurants that offer food that's a little healthier in comparison to most of what's around, so hopefully no one will have any issues with going to those places. I know I'll probably slip up here and there, but I'd rather try to eat at least somewhat decently than stuff my face all day with greasy food.

Yesterday was a bad day to go on a bike ride. I forgot that cool weather aggravates my sinuses when I breath too heavily, so I came home with a horrible headache and a pain in my jaw. None the less, it was still productive! Trying to piece together healthy meals can be a little frustrating, but having the app on my phone really helps me get a better handle on just what it is I'm eating. After a while it feels kind of like piecing together a puzzle, figuring out what would be best, what should be left out, measuring, mixing, all that good stuff. Can't say I can remember ever eating quite so healthily in all my life, haha!

I'm finding it kind of hard to believe that one can really burn so much weight by just sitting around or doing desk work, so I'm sort of ignoring the numbers listed in those sections and following with those activities where I'm actually moving and engaged in what I'm doing. So far so good, however; I have lost roughly 15 pounds since March of this year simply by paying attention to what I eat, cutting back on going out to eat so often, and working out anywhere from three to six days a week. Now if only I can stick with it for longer than just a few months, I tend to be so fickle with weight loss!
