When I turn 50 in October 2022, I hope to be off the acid reflux and blood pressure pills. I also want to be at my healthiest. Learning I was in the early stages of kidney disease and at my highest weight ever (376) was enough for me to make some changes. I started a low-sodium diet; gave up alcohol; and when I discovered walking was harder than it's ever been, introduced activity into my life with my newest obsession: gardening! No green thumbs yet, but I'm having fun and getting more fresh air than I ever have.
I don't have a solid weight goal because I have been morbidly obese throughout adulthood (even my liver is fatty) and have no idea what a healthy weight would be. I just want the health, muscles, energy and stamina to enjoy the next 50 years.
The last time I was on FS, it was just to keep a personal record. This time, I want to take advantage of all the bells and whistles on this site and gain ideas and inspiration from all of you. I look forward to getting to know you!
