Today is Marty's birthday, heading to Louisville. I have hives on several parts of my body, thighs, forearms, hands,and feet. I think it's from eating a wild violet. How long does it take for hives to go away? Guess I get to find out! I took a vinegar bath followed by a soda bath and it has settled down. Yay. I don't like feeling itchy.....oh well! Have a great day, I plan to! ;)

It's been a wonderful 3 days! Went in to Louisville and watch my son run the Papa John 10 Miler, that was awesome! He came in 107 out of 6300 people! Then Sat. we all ran around and shopped, ate steak and had birthday cake! It was my birthday, I'm now 54. On Sun. we were going to head home but stayed to watch the game between U of L and Witchta State, what a great game! I have relatives in Kansas who have played on this team or the football part anyway. It was exciting to see these two teams playing their hearts out. U of L won but not by much. It was a very riveting game. The kids decided to go to see U of L play in the finals! They are in Atlanta, Georgia and the game is today. I'm watching their little doggies-Moxie and Dottie until they return tomorrow. I will watch the game on tv tonight. Oh and the Lady Cardinals won their game also so there is a lot of celebrating happening in Louisville! Even with all the craziness and fun I've tried to limit calories and am pleased to see the scale respond! Cheers!

Well it's official, I don't like Chia seeds in my smoothie! Blech! It adds this weird taste to it I really don't like. I wonder if anyone else wants these dumb things? I only have a 1/2 cup or so. Wonder if they'd grow if I plant them? I sure am NOT going to eat anymore! Ugh!
Today I'm trying the famous Quinoa, let's see if that is a thumbs up or thumbs down. My daughter has been trying to get me to try it for a while. Here goes nothing! I'll let you know how it goes. I think it's like rice-you can either make it sweet or salty or however you want it to taste. And it can be hot or cold too. I'm going to eat it similar to oatmeal, with a sweetener and maybe some almond milk.
