Question about net calorie deficit
Confusing questions.
Here's the deal.
3300 calories=1 lb.
If your body burns 2000 calories without exercise and you eat 2000 calories you will stay the same.(2000-2000=0)
If your body burns 2000 calories and you exercise off 1650 calories and you eat 2000 calories (2000-2000=0 and 0-1650=1650) which means you will loose .5 lbs (3300-1650=1650, 3300/1650=.5)
If your body burns 2000 calories, and you don't exercise but eat 1650 calories you will loose .5 lbs. (2000-1650=1650, 3300-1650=1650, 3300/1650=.5) make sense?
You need a calorie deficit to loose weight. Keeping in mind it takes a 3300 calorie deficit to loose 1 lb.
Just keep in mind not all calories are equal. If you are taking in crap food it make a difference on the scale, high fat, high sugar, high sodium...
The calorie calculator on here uses a formula to roughly calculate how many calories you burn in a day based on your age, weight, and activity level. Then it gives you a calorie level to eat.
