Hi my name is Katie and I am 22 and currently living in Shanghai, China, working as an English teacher. I moved here with my boyfriend about 3 months ago and have done nothing but drink frozen mango margaritas and eat absolute crap, like 3 ice creams a day and an 18 inch pizza kind of crap... Before i arrived i stuck to a very strict diet and fitness plan that me and my personal trainer worked out together. However things are a bit different over here... I cant read any food labels (they are all in Chinese), and the sole socializing activities are eating and drinking. You cant go out running too successfully due to the sheer amount of people on the pavement and gyms are over the top expensive. So it goes without saying i am feeling rather more 'gelatinous' than when I arrived...
A friend told me about Insanity and it is very similar to the type of training i was doing back home, so i'm giving that a whirl as a gym alternative. Not sticking to it as strictly as i should because life just doesn't let you. I try to make up any day that I miss by doing 2 workouts a day at the weekend or swapping the off day (Sunday) for one in the week. Sticking to the diet absolutely though.
