Monday is need more sleep day!

What a great weekend! The sleepover with Z went very well. He only had a few moments of anxiety. We went to Texas Roadhouse, and I stayed under 1500 calories. Yay me! He mostly played Heroclix with E. I read. Great times!

Sat was a lazy morning. We met up with Z's parents about 12. We spent the day with them. We did not get home until midnight. I ended up having 4 alcoholic beverages, which is very naughty because I drank 4 alcoholic beverages only 4 weeks ago. I try to limit more than 1 drink to once a year, and just 1 drink to 1 or 2 times a year. Oh well. they were delicious. Sons Of liberty, Loyal 9 is a local RI brewery. Their premade cocktails were divine.

So, I learned that being in the pool, with adult beverages, makes getting out of the pool really hard. My world tilted! Plus, we are in the middle of a heat wave in New England. I just had 5 years of sun in one day. On a happy note, I am still as paste-y as ever. I am so pale, I am my own night light because I glow in the dark. :-)

I was totally the drunk friend. Luckily, my friends and their neighbors thought I was amusing. We were in the neighbors pool with the neighbor's son and his family. The owner had a party so she was not there.

Our friends made burgers and dogs, cheese and crackers, and we also had chips and dip! That morning I had breakfast and chocolate milk with Z and E. Needless to say, my spike day was super spikey! But I tracked it all! I made up a dance inspired by martial arts power ups and sumo stances. I had the kids shouting SPIKIE!...IIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG! as we did the dance in the pool together. Over and over. LOL I also taught them how to be barnacles. I am just so sure the parents loved me. :-)

OMAD was eggs & toast on Sunday, and popcorn. I wanted light calories.

Thankful:
I am back on a mostly simple week. There is a lot of comfort in routine.

Goal for day:
Fit board on lunch, exercise before dinner, chill with honey.

Positive Thoughts:
Since I have the no hangover superpower, I do not need a recovery day/week. One day of drinks cannot derail my goals, and I am so glad my friends love me enough to only tease me a little. :-)

TGIF!

Last night I took myself out to dinner, and I finished my book. Fun! OMAD was soup and nachos. I did not exercise but I did relax my brain. I think that is a good trade off. It was so nice to be home w/o noise. (E always has to have background noise. Always.)

What's the expression "peace within my soul"?. Yeah. I got that.

Tonight our friend's 10yr old son is sleeping over. It is their wedding anniversary today, so they asked us to take him. I also know he just wants to sleep over to be with E. He has a very big case of hero worship on E. He grows his hair and donates like E. He carries a notebook and art pens everywhere like E. He started collecting comics (I think to be) like E. He loves Marvel and Thor like E. He loves basketball like E. You get the picture. The list goes on. We constantly tease his dad by asking "are you sure Z is not E's?" He hates it. Even more so when the mom goes along with it. It is hilarious.

We are going to get a bite to eat, and then E and him will probably draw together while I read. They might go play basketball in the morning before it gets too hot. Once his parents get up and going, we are all spending the day together.

E and I might go to a movie after and Sunday is open.

Thankful:
Great friends turned into great family. I love my life and family and extended family. I feel very lucky.

Goal for day:
I cleaned for 45 mins and worked up quite the sweat this morning. I am saying exercise done! & Be patient w Z. He has some anxiety issues. His cousin, who is 3yrs old has stage 4 cancer. It is beyond imagining.

Positive Thoughts:
We never know what tomorrow will bring. I am very glad the ones I love have no doubts how much they are cared for and appreciated by me. And I have no rejects. I am who I am because of every choice I made, good and bad. I am ok with me. Peace within my soul.

Happy Thursday!

Tuesday night I took it easy on food since I was not feeling well and then E and I watched a movie. We are in the middle of a aliens theme. I did end up leaving work early and taking a 2 hour naked nap which seemed to help.

Wed I had my annual artery doc, and my annual physical plus 2 ultrasounds. I left the house at 6:30 and got home at 4. I also went grocery shopping. I was very tired when I got home so I just read my book, made dinner and watched another alien movie with E.

My OMAD was steak, baked potato and brussel sprouts. I couldn't finish my dinner so I had a butterscotch pudding for dessert. Well, I knocked that steak out, but I could not finish my baked potato, nor brussel sprouts. But I finished my pudding! I was amazed. I usually can only have a few bites of a smooth texture and then I gag. If I gag twice, well you can guess what happens.

My physical went well. I am only down 6 lbs from last year but my cholesterol went from 244 to 182! And my bad chol (triglycerides) went from 255 to 169! In March, my chol 190 and my triglycerides 215. Fasting and Kong May seem to be helping my triglycerides. Which is awsome news for my Fatty Liver. lol

Thankful:
MY hard work and pills are paying off. Get you gone, fatty liver!

Goal for day:
Exercise when I get home, and maybe finish my book :-)

Positive Thoughts:
The doctor's office might have thought I was a nut, but my cheeriness and dancing brightened their day. I like being me.

It's Tuesday!

I had another journal but FS timed out. I copied it and was going to try again. But I got distracted by a recipe and copied something else. Damn me.

Here is the quick recap because who the hell knows what i typed?! LOL

My evening with my friend was great.

Mani/pedis were amazing.

I went over in dinner by a rookie mistake. I did not verify my meal on FS with the restaurant's nutrition info. But I am still down .2 oz. Yay OMAD.

Dinner was not worth it. Not very tasty, and now my stomach and my GERD silent symptoms are acting up. & they were not so silent in the middle of the night.

Taking it easy today. Soup and salad for dinner or just maybe soup.

Thankful:
My work gives us 15 sick days a year. If I can't take this bra any longer, I am going home.

Goal for day:
I would like not to throw up.

Positive Thoughts:
Even though I am not feeling well, I still feel the best I have in years. I am getting healthier.

Happy Monday Everyone!

I was not on FS, but I did track all weekend. I came out of the weekend the same weight as I went in, which is a win since I am usually up after a Spike day (Sat).

Spike day was Five Guys, double bacon cheeseburger, milkshake and fries, plus an iced coffee and Dunkin Donuts egg sandwich. So good! Yesterday was chicken, broc and rice with some gravy. 2 and a half pieces of chicken are so filling! I could not finish it.

E and I went to the beach on Sat. We had a great time even though the water was kind of cold for me. I was the only one on the beach with long sleeves and a sheet over their legs and a visor. :-) But I didn't burn. E got a new phone after. I don't think I have ever been that dirty in public before. LOL

Sunday was a gaming and movies day.

This weekend was like the vacation we wanted to have, but didn't.

This week is super busy with plans every day but Thursday & Sunday. Tonight is pedicures and dinner with a friend for her birthday. I can't get her to chooses a restaurant, so I can't plan ahead as well as I usually do. I might do four choices in breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks and hope she picks one of them.

Thankful:
I love having friends for over 20 years. There is nothing like history to make you feel even closer. Well, a happy history helps.

Goal for day:
I already exercised (30 on elliptical), and I am getting the car cleaned on lunch, so, no fit board today. I want to make good choices when eating out today. I will try not to have over 2000 calories.

Positive Thoughts:
I am a strong, intelligent, capable woman. I know what to do. I have it on lock!
