I'm a family guy who wants to lead by example.
I quit smoking 4 years ago. In the past two years I've become much more active (running, cycling, and the gym) and I've toned up, but not lost the amount of body fat I would of expected for all this effort.
Counting calories, carbs / proteins has helped me understand how to make better food choices. Now I'm very happy with my energy level and finally some weight loss!

Im the newb who cant figure the math.
Thanks for your response Adam,
I did set it to active, so I guess that makes my RDI a little high.
I run. (but only every second day), so I think I should change my activity level as you suggested.
Regards,
Jim

Im the newb who cant figure the math.
I just started yesterday to count calories with this software and am trying to make sense of the math.
On my first day my food intake was 2400 cal. and my exercise was 3100 cal. (1100 burned from running and working out) this leaves me with a negative 700 which I understand.
Now with my RDI being 2800, this would put me into positive terratory on a non-workout day.
Something doesn't add up here because if I was to consume the recomended daily intake I would end up with surplus calories. Can anybody clarifyQuestion
