It's time!
When I am short on time I will eat cucumbers and hummus for breakfast or lunch. I am not big into breakfast foods. The key to success is finding quick things that will help you get past the cravings. The sugar free fudgesicles are great for the chocolate withdrawls. The low fat string cheese is another snack item that saves the day for me. It's protein, and its already packaged for me. I can toss it in my purse and go. If your friend is short on lunch, have her do turkey roll ups or something that is quicker to put together and eat than a salad. She needs to eat something! Skipping a meal can actually do more harm than good. Good luck to you both!

4 lbs in ONE day! I accidentally posted in journal, want it here though for help LOL
First of all, don't panic! Ask yourself a few questions, did you weigh yourself at the same time you normally do? If you hopped on a scale later in the day when you normally weigh first thing in the morning, that could account for some of the difference. Did you eat anything different that day? Even if it's on the plan, it could be somethiing that your body doesn't breakdown as fast. Also remember, muscle weighs more than fat. If you are working out, you are building muscle mass and loosing fat all at once...but it won't always register on the scale. Eating less could actually hurt you, rather than help you. It can slow your body down, it thinks it needs to hold onto all the calories you do consume because you aren't eating on schedule. For this kind of difference, there are probably multiple little things that can be contributing vs. one big reason for the gain.

Personally, I only weigh myself once a week. This way I do not become a slave to my scale. Since you do have a long term goal that is going to take time to achieve, I would also set smaller marker goals that help you stay on track. Try not to focus on this one gain, but look at the bigger picture. You are exercising, eating healthy, and working towards your goal. Don't let one hiccup, ruin all that posetive changes you have made in your life. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move forward! You can do it!!!Very Happy

HOW IS EVERYONE OUT THERE????
I had decided to go back on SB. It worked for me a year ago, and its easy for me to avoid wheat and other grains. I have to eat a gluten free diet. So, I was playing around on the internet and found this site. It was a wonderful find! I have never been successful at dieting alone. I need a partner in crime to help me stay on task and to make it fun. Unfortunately, I have moved across country and all the folks that I used to lean on are far far away. I tried weight watchers, but I am not going to stand up in front of a group of stangers and just share ...but since y'all can't see me, it makes it easier to blab on and on. Go figure! This site has definately helped me stay on task this week, and the first week is usually very hard.

Phase 1 SBD Buddy?
I am not big on eggs. I have to totally disguise their taste Doubt
I checked my booked Hummus is ok in phase 1 - if I want something clean and light in the morning I like to eat cucumbers and dip them in hummus. It isn't a traditional breakfast, but it's yummy (especially on a hot day when eating eggs really sounds heavy and ugh!)

New Starter seeking diet buddy
Very Happy

I plan on starting back on Monday as well. And I definately need the additional support. I have never been successful dieting alone, and all my diet buddies are far far away. I am hoping online buddies will help me be successful!
