39 yr old married mother of two. I started gaining weight as soon as I met my husband. I went from a size 5 to a size 14 in one year and was in a size 22 by the time I got pregnant with my first child. I was on the size 22 maintenance program for 7 years when I noticed I was actually in a size 18. Nice for not trying. Well in July I quit smoking and put on over 10 lbs.

My 20 yr reunion is in one year, I have a goal to be half way between my fat weight (240 lb) and graduation weight (130 lb) by Aug 2012.

Protein/Carbs/Fat--what's a healthy breakdown?
cw223, I try to keep the fats low, carbs lower than protein but the pie is a little deceptive as you could be eating good carbs and good fats and the pie will make it look bad. My nutritionist told me to keep the protein grams more than the carb grams and not to worry about the fat as long as the fat was from nature (nuts, lean meat, veggies, ect.). Nothing processed and be careful of portion sizes.

Ah, the dreaded plateau, I wonder... Are you finally here to see me?
I have heard to try an all carb day or an all protein day to reset things. Worth a shot if you're stuck.
