I don't think these over the top highly ballistic exercise routines are necessary and by their nature can easily lead to injury or are sustainable in the long term especially as you get older .
What would you suggest then? Curious.

My husband bought insanity I am planning to give it a try , I workout a lot , but I mosly go to the gym, and I LIKE TO RUN
I suggest that you give it a try with him. I've had some friends over doing it with me and they are surprised how much it pushes you and how addicting it is.
It will get you in the best shape of your life.

Need a low carbing buddy!

I'm 29 (for the next month at least.. though that's another story
) from Northern California, looking to lose somewhere between 30-40 lbs, and need a buddy (or buddies would be great!) to help me stay on track, swap recipes, and help to stay motivated!
I'm a bit of a nerd (gamer, foodie, etc) and would love to meet a buddy with common interests
Are you doing s specific program? I have a Facebook group going. Let me know if you are interested.

My friend and I did insanity last year and lost 40-45lbs a piece! We both got injured and had to stop. Gained weight, of course. Starting back up again now. I have done some of the turbo fire and love it too! It works better for me right now because I injured my wrist and can't do a lot of floor work. Love the intensity. Burn, on average, about 700 calories a workout.
TurboFire is hit and miss with me now. I can't stand the Fire 45 and Fire 55 workouts. They are too complex and I end up swearing at Chalene by the end. I modified it so that on the Fire 45 and 55 nights, I will do Fire 30 (which I love) along with a HIIT 15 or 25 workout to make up the time to 45 or 55 minutes.

Hi,
Try doing the Asylum. I burned 808 calories today!
It's on the list... I am going to do P90x next, then Asylum after that. My goal is to hit 100lbs in a calendar year.
