performance: gaining 4.4 lb a week
A weight loss and diet "lifer", I've done everything including once doing a cleansing fast for 38 days.
In total I've lost 60 (gained 10 back) pounds during several different rounds of dieting, sometimes using hypnosis, sometimes doing fasting, and most recently hcg. Though I've had lots of tests through my regular doc, there's nothing wrong with my thyroid or other endocrine systems. According to my doctor, my body "simply likes to preserve itself." So be it, but it also means that I need fewer calories to sustain a higher than desirable weight... hence the lifelong struggle.
I'm here to record what I hope is the remainder of my journey to a lifelong goal, 115 pounds. Since I've never been at that weight, it's a tall order. We'll see. In the meantime, I'll be here for the ride.
Note: If you'd like to tell me that I just need to exercise more or cut out this or that... don't. Anyone who has known me and my years of struggle with hiring personal trainers, running, kickboxing, step aerobics, spinning, calesthenics, zone dieting, atkins, low fat, low glycemic, low calorie, hypnosis, positive thinking, affirmations, tears and prayers has finally come to realize that I just need to eat as little as possible and pop lots of vitamins and minerals.
