Well, how is that for stable? Same weight. All is well! I'm beginning Week 2 of Phase 3, meaning that I get to start Maintenance- Phase 4 on March 11! Joy, joy, joy. First time in my adult life that I have reached a goal. Whew.

Well, life is certainly interesting. I've been delighted with my weight lately and then, I've spent nearly a week running a fever with no known origin. huh! Fever absolutely slaughtered my appetite when I am trying to increase my calories in Phase 2 (Ideal Protein), so I do my best to comply but eating is such a chore. This is a very different tune from my former fat self! I used to could eat through anything!
So, tomorrow begins Phase 3 and adding more calories back with Breakfast and I get to add carbs! Woohoo! What an exciting time. So, start to finish: January 4, 2013: 240.5 lbs - February 24, 2015: 128 lbs. Not bad! It has been quite a journey.

Joy, joy, joy! I have completed my first week of Phase 2, one more week to go. I showed a one pound loss, but the printout showed that I had lost 2.2 pounds of fat and increased my muscle mass. One of the benefits of Phase 2 is that I have clearance to increase my exercise, since my calorie load is increasing.
For those of you who are just starting out, please be mindful that exercise is not recommended in the early stages of Phase 1, because your body is working to get into fat-burning mode. I listened carefully to the daily videos and to my coach. Ideal Protein really works when you mind the rules!

By Ideal Protein and the goal of 28% fat, I have reached GOAL today. I set the 130 FatSecret goal, so no worries. Tomorrow, I will begin my 2 weeks transition, doing IP's phase 2. Yay! 2 weeks of Phase 2, then 2 weeks of phase 3. Once I've completed these 4 weeks, I will progress to Maintenance, Phase 4.
In 40 years, this is the FIRST time I have ever reached a weight loss goal. Wow, what a feeling!

Well, I have had one more successful weekly weigh-in. I am so close to the goal that I have set, keeping in mind when I started this Program, my first goal was 150 and then later, 140. Now, I'm pushing for 28% body fat, which will be achieved at about 131 pounds, thus the Fat Secret goal of 130.
I am sharing this success, because for the past 40 years, I have been anywhere from 160 - 245 pounds. This Ideal Protein program have been so successful, I just have to rejoice! It is really strict but it is livable and doable. Yep, takes some determination, but when the scale drops every single week, that leads to significant weight loss and SUCCESS!
Good luck with today. Take each day as it comes. I had a tough Sunday, but eating off protocol never entered my mind. I kept my eating routines as normal and pushed through the rough day.
