I do not have the guts to weigh in just now. It has been a rough 2 months, but I am finished with the month of June, 2 trips, 1 vacation and now, I'll be restarting Phase 1 on July 6, to re-lose the weight I've gained in the past 2 months. Let's watch and see how slowly the weight decreases.... Should be a real rollercoaster this time around.
Knowing that I'm restarting Phase 1 in one week, I'm busy cleaning out my pantry, freezer and refrigerator of "carbs" and making great grocery shopping choices.
Have a great week and MAKE GREAT CHOICES! You are worth it!

I will weigh in this week, so am doing a journal entry only at this time.
While I am in maintenance, it is still wise to be mindful of each meal and each choice that I make.
This week, my family suffered the tragic death of our first-born son, age 38, in a fall from a ladder in his garage. He leaves a wife and 7 year old daughter. We were stunned. We are dealing with everything and supporting his precious family, and have been surrounded with people who are loving and caring.
There have been a few opportunities to make poor choices when food is offered, but I think all in all that our choices have been okay. We have maintained our exercise schedule and have found when the grief is just overwhelming, that a long neighborhood walk has been very therapeutic.
As a mother, I would urge you to hug your child and cherish them, no matter how old they are. I never imagined I would lose a child.
Have a good week, full of good choices and God bless you.

Maintenance is a seesaw! Easter was challenging, but jumping back into Phase 1 for a few days got me right back on track! Loving this Phase 4 of Ideal Protein!

Maintaining, maintaining.... is challenging! My IP Coach assures me that weight fluctuates, so here goes!
I am truly working out 75-85 minutes at the gym 3 mornings a week to build muscle and staying active with walking 7 days a week.
Good luck out there to those who are still working on the weight loss phase. It works!

Well, this is the start of my second week of maintenance. I gained to 130 last week and maintained the same weight today. Funny how fluctuations occur throughout the week. I've seen as high as 135, but weigh day shows a nice steady weight. This truly beats going back to 240! I dug out some pictures at that weight and wow, that just blows my mind. Apparently, maintenance is just a balancing game, and trying out new (old) foods to see how they affect me. I may be in for a healthy way of eating from now on. It occurs to me that when I tried candy last week, it makes me feel a little ill, but it is also a "trigger" for me. Once I have it, I want more. Guess candy will not have a place in my home anymore. Great news, since I've increased my calories, I've increased my exercise at the gym! I'm up to 70-75 minutes of rowing and walking the treadmill, as well as some weights! This shows up in my fat percentage decrease and my muscle increase! Same weight, just redistribution. I just love those weekly printouts showing fat and muscle.
Have a terrific week, folks. This is Spring Break, so I've got more active access to the grandkids.
