Old habits are hard to break~! I have my first child going away to college so I have been experiencing STRESS eating. Anyone else fall back into this bad habit? I am very aware of it so I am going to start the new month going back to my daily recording of food intake and exercise/activity. I have also hit a plateau in my weight loss so I am going to resume intermittent fasting. In the past this has proven to be beneficial in removing cravings for sugar and salt. I aim to fast for 14 hours from the hours of 10PM to noon. The hours I can eat I will aim to east sensibly and in moderation. I only wish I could kick the diet soda habit!

Just returned from a long and relaxing vacation in Hawaii. I did not access FS at all during this time and I missed it. Recording my food keeps me " in check" and without this I felt ...unfocused . I did really good until the last day and had a splurge- and that is all it takes for me to resume cravings! The flight home for 11 hours with nothing to do but sleep watch tv and eat was very difficult! I don't know how those that travel frequently are able to fight the urge on the plane! I was glad to see minor weight gain but I believe I have lost muscle as clothing feels snug. So I am back on track! Taking a vacation- especially one that requires you to wear your bathing suit 90% of the time - was so much more ENJOYABLE at my " new " weight. I was able to hike places I never would have attempted in the past , kayak and snorkel for hours, and even surf for the first time! NONE of this would have been possible at my old weight. This trip was my reward to myself for my weight loss this past year so now I am planning a trip next summer as I find this a great source of motivation. Good luck to us all~
