Once I weighed 388 pounds. Have been heavy all my life. Had lap band surgery and lost down to 230. Started losing weight for no reason and got down to 148 pounds. Turns out I am a Type-1 diabetic called auto-immune diabetes. Started taking insulin and blew back up to 188 and can not get myself to having consistent blood sugars. Used to exercise. Hated it! Even with a personal trainer. Yesterday the endocrinologist mentioned learning to take insulin based on carb count of the food I eat. A light bulb went on and I realized I should go on a low carb diet again to see if this will help me get to a level where I will not have to take that evil insulin. Worth a try.
