Hi all my name is Bill.
I live in AZ and have lived her most my life. I am happily married for 14 years with three children. I was a long distance runner and diver in high school and weighed 165 when I graduated. At about the age of 22 I started putting a little weight each year slowly. Then I got into the computer field in my mid 20's which put me behind a desk most of the time. Combine that with horrible eating habits and enjoying the weekend beers and at 41 I was up to 275 lbs.
My wife has over the years been very supportive, and has suggested something like Weight Watchers to try to slim down, but not in a negative way. I always told he the only way I would lose weight and keep it off would be a change of lifestyle and unhealthy habits.
In early May of 2010 I was watching a few documentaries on Netflix and realized the health risks I was putting myself into. Add to that I had 3 kids that I wanted to do stuff with (Skiing, Sports,Hiking, etc)that due to my weight I was not able to do.
So on May 8th I made the decision to change my life. I decide to go on the HCG diet to get my weight back to healthy standard. My goal is to get and maintain somewhere in the 200-220 range this year. So far things are looking good, and I am feeling better than I have in years.

Too be continued......

Will be starting Phase three of HCG in next weekend. To continue to maintain and possible loose a few lbs I plan on staying on the following course to try to get down to my 200 lb goal.
Calories = 1500

1/2 hour - 1 hour moderate exercise (elliptical)
We will see how that goes.

Exercising
I prefer to workout in the morning before work. I always shower in the AM so that works better. You will also be surprised how refreshed and energetic you are in the morning after a workout. Just make sure you eat a little something first.

Energy Burned?
Per Debinator google search is an excellent resource. The wife and I were looking around one evening and were curious how many calories you can burn of during sex, and low and behold we found lots of info Smile

You can also compare to something similar that is listed on the site.

Anyone doing the HCG Diet?
Well from someone how is now in phase 3 of the HCG diet I have nothing bad to say about it. I spent $40 on 40 days worth of drops. I have lost 40 lbs and have not felt better in 15 years. I have 3 neighbors who have all done it and all of us are very satisfied, and none of us have ended up with any type of eating disorder. If anything it taught me a little discipline about avoiding garbage food, and portion control. I have had not problems transitioning to the increased calories for phase 3 so I am assuming I do not have an eating disorder. Don't be haters if it just not your thing Smile

I just can't consistently do it!
Here is what I did. Not sure if it works for everyone, but it has been working for me. I am on the hcg diet on the third phase and trying to maintain 1500 calories a day as well.
1. I made a list of possible breakfast, veggies, fruits, meat, poultry, snacks on an spreadsheet. I include with each item the calories, carbs, fat, protien.
Then I did an average for each group. Then based on that I figures my serving amounts, and that has helped me keep very close to 1500 a day.
I also eat throughout the day. Meaning I don't wait until noon for lunch. I will have breakfast at 6 am, an apple around 9:30, lunch around 11 (Protein and veggie), Orange around 2-3, Dinner (protein and another veggie around 5:30. Maybe a light snack (yogurt) before 7 and good for the day.
Right now on this phase of my diet I am staying away for carb, starches, etc.
Drinking only Green Tea and Water and going well.
Good luck.
