Well, here I am. Middle aged, over weight, diabetic, depressed - Oh man am I living the dream or what. Have my issues with life, obviously. Joined FatSecret to use it for keeping track of my food, excercise and weight ups and downs. I've used this site in the past-forgot my password and no longer have that e-mail account so I've created this new membership. Used to weight 233, today I weight 205 so I've all ready made progress - slowly, very slowly. My first goal is to get down to 175 and MAINTAIN that for a while. Then we will see and possibly set another goal. I hate dieting - so I'm not dieting. I am making better choices a lot more often. I have also committed to excercising with regularity and with purpose. Joined a gym and I go every morning before work for 45 - 60 minutes AND I go to bootcamp 2 times a week and let me tell you it kicks my butt. Hoping to maybe buddy up with a few folks to share our stories and motivate each other. I'm a realist. I did this to myself and I believe I can change if for myself. Just now that I am over 40 - it will be harder than it ever would have had to be if I'd made this choice in my youth. It is what it is.
