Mini rant. Why are some people such babies? When I see posts I don't agree with I either pass on to the next post or may comment that doesn't work for me but glad it does for you. I don't go telling them they are off topic or go reporting them. All things important in our life have an effect on our weight journey. I love reading about your remodels, and kids, and rejoicing in your wins. I also love to share with your disappointments and struggles. Maybe I have been through them or maybe I can just listen and pray. I hope somehow to encourage. For my husband and I, our faith is a huge part of our journey, and encourages us and others. If someone has a problem with that, be an adult and skip the post or say that doesn't work for me but glad it does for you! My faith does not offend you personally any more than your lack of faith offends me! What does offend me is when you try to force your lack of faith and hatred of God on me. And if you don't believe in God, why do you hate Him so much that even His words cause you to lash out?

Anyway, I sat a whole month not losing and in the last couple of weeks I'm down 7 pounds. Yeah! So great is my joy! This verse fits perfectly I think!

Nehemiah 8:10

I was so tired yesterday and wasn't sure why. Then I realized it was probably all the carbs I had on our trip to take my grandson to college. But when I went to bed and took my meds I realized I hadn't taken my morning meds. I usually take a thyroid medicine since my thyroid is dead, and I take Vitamin B complex. Both will help with energy. so Duh! It was probably a combination of the carbs and forgotten meds, but today I feel great. Went to the dr today. Now to wait on my lab results and my A1C I expect good improvement since my glucose has been lower. I didn't see what my blood pressure was. Usually they tell me but the nurse didn't today. The doctor says my gut problems could also be causing my blood sugars to go up and down. My weight was down lower than it has since I started going there.

Just got back yesterday from taking my first grandson to college with his mother (my daughter) and her two youngest, 2 and 7. On Friday I drove 6 hours, then we walked 120 hours. Not really but it sure felt like it. Every time I had to get back in the car and get back out I could hardly move. My muscles just tightened up so much they wouldn't work! I stuck to my diet fairly well.

I think this is really funny. When my youngest went to college at a local private college, the school gave the parents a sit down banquet, full meal. We take my grandson to a private art college and we go to eat at the dorm cafeteria, twice! The tuition is about comparable at each school!

Anyway, I stayed away from the sugars, ate a few carbs, mostly fruits and salad. Friday night though, we stayed in a nearby hotel. We were so hungry and tired, so we ordered a pizza delivery. I ate two pieces. Then on the way home we stopped at the largest McDonald's in America over the Will Roger's turnpike in Oklahoma and I got a burger and fries. My blood sugars stayed pretty stable.

My two year old granddaughter insisted in carrying my suitcase to the hotel!
