I'm a newly married 28-year-old and a housewife. My hubby and I basically live in front of our laptops. I've led a fairly sedentary life and my weight has always been a problem. I have lost lots of it in different times.

Once in college I weighed 105 lbs because I was living on instant noodles, not a good idea.

I also used Herbalife products and I lost 10 pounds in one month, was able to maintain it for a year, but it's too pricey for me now.

Two years ago I used diet pills and lost 20 pounds but gained them right back up.

I was at my heaviest 141.9 lbs and when you're barely 5' tall that's not good. My family has a history of diabetes and heart problems and man I love the cake. So doing Atkins came as an epiphany of sorts to me. I knew it was gonna be difficult since I just LOVE carbs. I also knew that my love for carbs and sugar is making me feel lousy, little to no energy every day and, well gain weight.

So my Atkins journey is still ongoing. I plan to keep it going for as long as I can. It is a lifetime commitment. I'm excited.
