I'm 33 and getting married! I am so excited about it, but my excitement while dating led to some weight gain. I am a fan of working out, (as much as you can be), but am not always the most motivated that I can be. I heart food so I am not looking to be on a fad diet. I love to cook healthy foods, but I also love french fries. I want to get to a point where I can have a beer and some fries and be OK with that.

Personal Trainer?
Thanks everyone! I am a lot less apprehensive now. I think the key is to not get sucked into a "package" discount until I know that he / she will work with me for what I need. I can do this. We ALL can do this! : )

Personal Trainer?
Hi Everyone - I am new the site but am already really excited about the info. My question is can anyone share their experiences with a personal trainer? I am considering hiring one for the next 6 months, but cost and time is a major factor. I am active with a gym membership and exercise ~4-5 days a week (mostly cardio). The trainer at the gym wants to do 60 minute sessions for $60 a session (ouch). I am really only interested in upper body exercises to tone my back and arms. Is this something that I should invest in or could I get the same info on-line or on my own? I am pretty motivated on my own and everyone that I know that has ever used a trainer said that that was why they liked them - for motivation. I don't really need that, I just need some help developing the right way to go about toning. Anyone have any advice or thoughts? Anything would be great since I don't want $ to stand between me and a better me.
